What happens when a rubbish model isn’t rubbish and in fact does many things really well? I have had Amazon recommend models by Rokr to me before but I’ve always ignored them because they looked bad, but my early indoctrination to Zoids means I have a soft spot for mechanical animals and their kits. I was expecting something rubbish, but what I got was interesting.
The Rokr Hammerhead Shark is a motorised model with lights, so already it’s kind of interesting. Opening the box was a bit of a shock though, you get a full set of tools!
Yes those are nail clippers, and yes that’s a brilliant idea for sprue cutters in a box. Take note GW, can you get around your problem with your starter sets not including sharp things with this? The screwdriver is because this isn’t only a snap together kit, it’s also screwed together.
The sprues themselves are pretty good. The detail isn’t that impressive but they’re pre-painted, and quite well too.
Look at the painted details on this exhaust. That would be a sticker or decal elsewhere.
It’s quite amazing how the quality of kits has improved over the years and how basic certain companies now look with their offerings.
