Getting the decals on a model always makes a massive difference and so I’m quite happy with the changes to the Dark Angel today. It needs a flat coat on top of it, but when doesn’t a decal need that? It would help if I was doing more than about 10 minutes work on it each day, but it is what it is.

In an effort to speed up photography I’ve 3D printed a small photo booth that I can slap on my desk when needed. It’ll only be big enough for some models, although slapping this Eldfall Chronicles Blighted Riftspawn in there who’s on a 10cm base fits well enough if I don’t care too much about the lighting, but this is for day to day progress pictures and nothing more. I printed it in white but then sprayed the background grey, Sear grey to be precise as I had some kicking around I never use, as exposing dark minis on a white background is a pain. I might go a bit darker so it’s a neutral for both light and dark models, but I’ll see how it goes. Illumination comes from moving my painting lamp above it and then moving it forwards until the shadows annoy me the least but as you can see with the big model I can’t really light it well enough in there.
